Released in April 1970 as the 250 cc sibling of the RX350 sport model, the DX 250 used a newly designed five-port two-stroke twin with Autolube oil injection. It sat in a double-cradle frame inspired by Yamaha's production racers and was marketed for light, agile handling with fully weather-proof drum brakes.
